Celebrating World Book Day with a trip to Stratford to meet Sir Chris Hoy and hear about his exciting new books about Flying Fergus.

On Thursday 3rd March together with 2W, 3C and 3O we travelled to the Discovery Centre in Stratford to hear Chris Hoy talk about the series of books that he is writing with author Joanna Nadin and illustrator Clare Elsom.
Chris Hoy told us about his career as a world class cyclist and about his first bike, which was a rusty old BMX that his parents helped him to make look as good as new.
Other highlights were when Clare Elsom drew a guinea pig for Seth. She signed it and he was able to take it home.
Before returning to school we visited the Olympic Park for a picnic and a play on the adventure playground.
